Chocolate Orange Avocado Mousse

This delicious, rich and creamy chocolate orange mousse made with avocado was created one rainy Sunday afternoon when I fancied something sweet as a treat. Using just a few simple store cupboard ingredients and mixed in a matter of minutes, it will quench your desire for a mouthful of chocolatety heaven. I have tried many different recipes but this one delivers a rich buttery taste and texture. You won't believe this is dairy free and vegan. It's truly fantastic and keeps well in the fridge overnight. It may last longer, I wouldn't know as I can't resist dunking Lotus biscuits in it long enough to find out!

Ingredients - Serves 2

 1 ripe avocado
 4 tsp cacao powder
 1 juice of a clementine
 1 dash maple syrup
 1 pinch Himalayan pink salt
 1 zest of an orange

Method

Mash the ripe avocado in a small bowl

Add all the other ingedients and mix well. Your mousse is readY

To serve, crush 2 Lotus biscuits and arrange in the center of a plate. Top with a spoonful of the scrumptious mousse and sprinkle with toasted flaked almonds, roasted orange powder and fresh orange zest. Enjoy! Or serve with Lotus vegan biscuits for dunking!
